Deceased Name: JOANN K. WEINBERG

JoAnn K. Weinberg, 75, of Duluth, died peacefully Sunday, Aug. 29, 2004 in Benedictine Health Center.

JoAnn was born May 31, 1929 in Ashland, Ohio to Earl and Ann Kopp.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church. JoAnn was an outstanding bridge player and was a member of the ACBL, attaining the status of Life Master. She also enjoyed any and all card games and puzzles with friends and family. She was kind, loving, generous, and sometimes sassy. JoAnn was passionate about cooking and loved to cook for her husband, Alfred, who was passionate about eating.

Throughout her 20 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis, JoAnn was unbelievably strong, brave, and happy. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Benedictine Health Center who cared for her over her 11 year stay there.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Weinberg.

She is survived by her two sons, James (Sherri) Cosler, Oakton, Va., and John (Julie) Cosler, Duluth; two daughters, Melissa (Daniel) Gaylord and Dana (Sharon Olson) Cosler, both of Duluth; two grandsons, Vincent and Zachary; two sisters, Pam Carraway and Kay Martin; and a brother, Charles Kopp.

FUNERAL SERVICE:2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, in Benedictine Health Center Chapel. Burial in Temple Emmanuel Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Benedictine Health Center or the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. Arrangements by Johnson-Crawford Funeral & Cremation Services.
